A boy from Sri Lanka is aboard a ship bound for England. He soon makes friends with two other boys as they jump from one adventure to another while the ship cuts across the ocean. The narrative continues into the boys’ adulthood as it tells the story of the often forbidden discoveries of childhood and a lifelong journey that begins unexpectedly with a sea voyage.
